Perhaps one of the best children's story teller of all time, Enid Blyton was born on August 11, 1897. Her first published work, a poem, appeared in Nash's Magazine in 1917.
Until her death in 1968, she wrote over 600 books, including The Famous Five series, The Twins at St. Clare, and Noddy, amongst a host of others.
